Jamshedpur, December 15: On Friday, angry passengers got enraged due to the passenger train running from Chakradharpur to Tatanagar under Chakradharpur Railway Division being stopped at various places every day.
Howrah-Mumbai route was blocked for about two hours.
Meanwhile, on Friday morning, angry passengers blocked the Howrah-Mumbai route due to the train being stopped unnecessarily for about half an hour near Yashpur railway gate under Gamharia police station.
Passengers completely disrupted the railway operations in support of their demand that local trains should run on time. After receiving information about this, some railway police personnel reached the spot and tried to convince the passengers.
The people blocking the railway track were not ready to listen to the police. After about one and a half hour, officials of Sini, Adityapur and Kandra RPF reached the spot.
After warning of strict action, the people vacated the railway tracks. After this the trains started operating. During this period the railway track remained jammed for about two hours.
