Train disruptions due to derailment of Howrah-Mumbai Mail

Jamshedpur, July 30: The derailment of the 12810 Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Mail near Barabambo station in the Chakradharpur Division on 30th July has caused significant disruptions to train services. Numerous trains have been cancelled, short-terminated, or diverted.

Several trains will be cancelled due to the derailment. The trains affected on 30th July 2024 included 22861 Howrah-Titlagarh-Kantabanji Express, 08015/18019 Kharagpur-Jhargram-Dhanbad Express, 12021/12022 Howrah-Barbil-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express, 18109 Tatanagar-Itwari Express, 18030 Shalimar-LTT Express, 18113/18114 Tatanagar-Bilaspur-Tatanagar Express, 08647/08648 Adra-Barabhum-Adra MEMU Special, 08151/08152 Tatanagar-Barkakana-Tatanagar Special, 08071/08072 Kharagpur-Tatanagar-Kharagpur Special, 08056/08055 Tatanagar-Kharagpur-Tatanagar Special, 08173/08174 Asansol-Tatanagar-Asansol Special, 13302/13301 Tatanagar-Dhanbad-Tatanagar Express (between Adra-Tatanagar), 18601 Tatanagar-Hatia Express, and 18006 Jagdalpur-Howrah Express.

On 31st July 2024, the trains that will be cancelled include 18189 Tatanagar-Ernakulam Express, 18109/18110 Tatanagar-Itwari-Tatanagar Express, 18115 NSCB Gomoh-Chakradharpur Express, 22862 Kantabanji-Howrah Express, 08162 Chakradharpur-Tatanagar Special, 08146 Rourkela-Tatanagar Special, 12262 Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Duronto Express, 12871 Howrah-Titlagarh Express, 12767 Santragachi-Nanded Express, 18113 Tatanagar-Bilaspur Express, 08145 Tatanagar-Rourkela Special, 18116 Chakradharpur-NSCB Gomoh Express, 18011 Howrah-Chakradharpur Express, 08161 Tatanagar-Chakradharpur Special, 08195/08196 Tatanagar-Hatia-Tatanagar Special, 08697/08698 Jhargram-Purulia-Jhargram Special, 18019/18020 Jhargram-Dhanbad-Jhargram Express, 08174/08173 Tatanagar-Asansol-Tatanagar Special, 18601/18602 Tatanagar-Hatia-Tatanagar Express, and 08151/08152 Tatanagar-Barkakana-Tatanagar Special. Additionally, 02863 Howrah-Yesvantpur Special will be cancelled on 1st August 2024, while 02864 Yesvantpur-Howrah Special will be cancelled on 3rd August 2024.

Several trains will also face short termination or short origination. The 18114 Bilaspur-Tatanagar Express, journey commenced on 29th July 2024, will be short-terminated at Rourkela. The 18190 Ernakulam-Tatanagar Express, journey commenced on 28th July 2024, will be short-terminated at Chakradharpur. The 18011 Howrah-Chakradharpur Express, journey commencing on 30th July 2024, will be short-terminated at Adra. The 18012 Chakradharpur-Howrah Express, journeys commencing on 30th and 31st July 2024, will be short-originated from Adra. The 18029 LTT Mumbai-Shalimar Express, journey commenced on 29th July 2024, will be short-terminated at Bilaspur. The 18602 Hatia-Tatanagar Express, journey commencing on 30th July 2024, will be short-terminated at Muri. The 08152 Barkakana-Tatanagar Special, journey commencing on 30th July 2024, will be short-terminated at Muri. The 13287 Durg-Ara Express, journey commencing on 31st July 2024, will be short-terminated at Jharsuguda. The 13288 Ara-Durg Express, journey commencing on 30th July 2024, will be short-terminated at Tatanagar.

Additionally, several trains will be diverted. The 12262 Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Duronto Express, journey commencing on 30th July 2024, will run on a diverted route via Kharagpur-Bhadrak. The 12130 Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express, journey commenced on 29th July 2024, will be diverted via Sini-Kandra-Purulia-Hatia-Nuagaon-Rourkela. The 18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Express, journey commenced on 29th July 2024, will be diverted via Chandil-Muri-Hatia-Rourkela.
