Jamshedpur: The Tata Workers Union elections may be formally announced on January 10, as preparations are underway to convene the union’s committee meeting on that date. Amidst a challenging environment and strained relationships within the union, there are discussions about the formation of a new team, intensifying the election atmosphere.

General Secretary Satish Singh is anticipated to make the election announcement during the committee meeting. According to the Union Constitution, notifications for elections are typically issued two months before the expiration of the present committee’s tenure.

The last Tata Workers Union elections took place on January 31, 2021, with the certification process completed in February. The upcoming elections will involve the election of 214 committee members and 11 office bearers.
