Jamshedpur, October 15: Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (Tata Steel UISL) has reinforced its commitment to sustainable development by organizing a Mega Tree Plantation Drive at N Road Bistupur, successfully planting 5,000 saplings across approximately 2,500 square meters of city space.
The plantation included a variety of native species, including Tabebuia, Bauhinia, Teak, Bakul, and other forest trees, contributing directly to urban afforestation and increasing the green cover in the area.

The event saw participation from school children, NCC cadets, parents of cadets, employees, and officials from Tata Steel and Tata UISL, and was attended by Mr. Varun Bajaj, Chief – Town Infrastructure & Logistic Infrastructure Projects, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, and Mr. Rabindra Kumar Singh, General Manager – Town Operations & Maintenance, Tata Steel UISL, highlighting the significance of the initiative.
This plantation drive represents a key step in Tata Steel UISL’s efforts to integrate sustainability into city planning and infrastructure development, helping create healthier, greener, and more sustainable living spaces for the community.
