Jamshedpur, Oct 15: Panic and destruction gripped the popular DC Lounge, a salon in Bistupur late on Monday night when a group of young men went on a rampage, smashing furniture, glass panels, and decorative items.
According to sources, the incident stemmed from a personal dispute between some youths from Sakchi Ramdas Bhatta and the lounge owner’s son.
The confrontation reportedly began near the lounge in the Sakchi area and escalated when the enraged group proceeded to the main DC Lounge in Bistupur.
Customers and staff were thrown into a state of panic, with many fleeing the scene.
The sudden commotion also caused temporary traffic congestion on the adjoining road.
Bistupur police reached the spot promptly, evacuated the lounge, and began reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify the culprits.
The Bistupur police station in-charge confirmed that efforts are underway to identify the individuals involved and that a strict investigation is ongoing.
The lounge management has filed a formal complaint, and authorities have assured stern action against those responsible.
Following the incident, other salon, pub and lounge operators in the city have been urged to stay vigilant.
