Tata Steel kicks off annual Ethics Month celebration

Jamshedpur, July 2:  Tata Steel kicked off its annual Ethics Month celebration on July 1. The ethics month was kicked off by T V Narendran, CEO & Managing Director of Tata Steel, who read the ethics pledge during the CEO& MD Online and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to ethical practices.

This year’s Ethics Month theme is “Ethical Culture Builds a Sustainable Future.” The theme underscores Tata Steel’s focus on fostering a strong ethical culture that supports the company’s long-term sustainability.

Throughout the month of July, Tata Steel will organize various competitions and activities to engage its employees and reinforce the importance of ethical practices. These include a photography contest, video-making contest, quizzes, polls, and a podcast series. In addition, panel discussions, round tables, and Business Associates (BA) meets with value chain partners, nukkad nataks, Rangoli competition and debates will be organized at various divisions.

Tata Steel has a long-standing tradition of upholding ethical practices since its inception. In 1998, the company introduced the Tata Code of Conduct (TCOC), which outlines the standard of behaviour expected from the company, its employees, and business partners. All employees and business partners are required to sign the TCOC compliance undertaking before joining the company.
