Students steal the show at DBMS Kadma’s 20th anniversary celebration

 Jamshedpur, May 14: DBMS Kadma High School celebrated the completion of 20 years of its establishment with a grand cultural evening titled “Iter Aeternum” at the school auditorium, Kalakriti, on Thursday.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a prayer song. The event was attended by chief guest R.K. Agarwal, Managing Director of P&M Hi-Tech City Centre Mall, Bistupur.

Based on the theme of a “Cosmic Journey,” the cultural programme featured two fictional alien characters, Zyron and Vex, guiding the audience through different cultures and traditions across the world. Around 270 students participated in colourful dance, music, and theatrical performances showcasing Indian and global cultural diversity.

Folk performances representing Kashmir, Northeast India, Punjab, Bengal, and Jharkhand received huge appreciation from the audience. Classical performances including Mohiniyattam and Kathakali, along with spiritual and literary presentations, added grandeur to the event. Attractive costumes, creative props, and impressive stage decoration were among the highlights of the evening.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. B. Chandrashekhar, Chairperson (Finance), said that schools are not merely centres of education but platforms that nurture values, creativity, and culture. He praised the efforts of students and teachers and congratulated the school on completing its successful 20-year journey.

Principal Gurpreet Bhamra described the programme as a reflection of students’ talent, teachers’ dedication, and the unity of the school family. She thanked teachers, students, parents, and the management committee for making the event successful.

Several members associated with the institution over the past two decades were felicitated during the celebration. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, the school song, and the National Anthem.
