Jamshedpur, March 17: In an effort to promote better health and well-being for residents of Mango, the Public Health Team of Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) organised awareness and training session on Vector-Borne Diseases (VBD) and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) for Sahiyas on March 15.
The event was aimed to train participants with the knowledge and skills to identify and prevent these health conditions. It was organised at Kalindi Bhawan, Ulidih.

The TSF team also provided Training and Distribution of Blood Pressure Instruments and Glucometer Kits to Sahiyas. These tools are essential in helping individuals with chronic health conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, monitor their health more effectively.
The event was graced by the presence of Secretary of Kalindi Samiti Ulidih Mango, who commended the TSF for their efforts in improving the health of the community.

In addition, an Awareness and Training session on Breast Self Examination (BSE) was conducted for Sahiyas. The session focused on educating participants on the importance of regular breast self-examination in detecting breast cancer at an early stage. Participants were also taught how to perform a self-examination correctly.
The event was well-received by the participants, who expressed their gratitude to TSF for organising the initiative. The Public Health Team of TSF has pledged to continue its efforts in promoting better health and well-being for the community.
