Tata Power bags three Gold awards at CCQC

Jamshedpur, Sept. 21: Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company today announced that the Company�s Jojobera quality circle teams have been honoured with three prestigious Gold Awards at Chapter Convention on Quality Circle (CCQC) 2017 by Quality Circle Forum India, Durgapur (QCFI). The teams were awarded for excellent problem-solving capabilities and their contribution towards quality-control initiatives at Jojobera thermal power station.

Tata Power�s teams Tejas (Operation), Team Parigyan (CHP), and Team Achievers (MMD) competed with teams from various organizations. The case studies presented by Tata Power teams included- Tejas: Reduction in Cold start up time by preheating of Boiler feed water, Parigyan : Coal rake unloading is affected due to frequent unavailability of SAC#A and Achievers: Mill Journal Assembly Oil level inspection and top up problem In running Mill.

Commenting on the achievement, Vijay V Namjoshi, Chief-Jojobera Thermal Power Station, Tata Power, said, �Tata Power always endeavours to enhance its efficiency and establish quality benchmarks to ensure constant improvement and innovation across its operations.
