Jamshedpur, October 2: Tata Motors Ltd along with its associate companies paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation, and Lal Bahadur Shastri, Former Prime Minister, at Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium on Sunday, October 2.
The programme commenced with floral tributes to the two leaders on their birth anniversary by Ajoy B Lall, Head, Jamshedpur Plant.
The event drew the participation of a large number of employees, including Senior Executives of Tata Motors and subsidiary companies, members of Mansi Club and other social organizations as well as thousands of school children from 17 school under SPK.
The program began with a quiz followed by floral tribute to the two leaders and launching of �Joy of Giving� week. On this occasion Mr. Lall extolled the virtues of both the leaders and their significance in our modern day life.
The program saw the Launching of �Waste Segregation & Joy of Giving Program� in Township through distribution of caps & paper Bags to all the participants. A Joint Pledge – “Say No to Plastics” was administered to the participants in order to reaffirm the commitment to the environment.
“Best Sanitation Worker” both from Works & Township were felicitated on the occasion by the Chief Guest for their valuable contribution.
The celebrations finally concluded with �Walk for Life� led by Plant Head and the participants.
