Samarpan launches cleanliness drive in Bhuiyadih

Jamshedpur: A cleanliness drive was launched in Kalyan Nagar, Bhuiyadih, on Sunday under the aegis of Samarpan, a city-based NGO.

It was led by Lalit Das, outfit convenor and son of Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das. Local residents and members of the outfit participated in the campaign by cleaning the roads and surroundings in the locality.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion, Das said it was important to keep the city clean. He said cleaning the city would not only add to its beauty but would also help people stay healthy.

He said that clean habits and cleanliness was sure to create a healthy India. He appealed to the people of the city to pay special attention to cleanliness.

During the programme, Das assured to make arrangements for dustbins in Kalyan Nagar.

Among others present during the campaign included Neeraj Kumar Kaibarta, Dev Kumar Kaibarta, Sanjeev Nayak, Rupesh Sahu, Gyan Singh, Pradip Kumar Dubey, Deepak Kumar Singh and Sonu Dutta.
