Tata Motors Jamshedpur Block Closure on Dec 22-23

Jamshedpur: Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant has once again opted for block closure on December 22 and 23. Following the two-day block closure, December 24 is Sunday and a weekly holiday for employees. Monday, December 25 is Christmas Day and will be a holiday. As such, the latest announcement of the two day Block Closure would result in four days of shut down at Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant. Work at the plant will resume on Tuesday, December 26. Previously, the plant was shut down continuously for three days, with a block closure announced by the company. Employees will receive half a day’s wages for the two days of work during the block closure, while the remaining two days will be holidays. Earlier this month, on December 18 and 19, the Company had also implemented a two-day block closure, followed by a day off on Sunday, resulting in a three-day shutdown. This marks the fourth block closure implemented by the company this month.
