Jamshedpur: In a tragic incident at Mahalimurup station on the Rajkharsawan-Tata railway route, Govardhan Pramanik (68), a resident of Murup, lost his life after slipping while attempting to board a train on Thursday morning.
The unfortunate incident occurred when Govardhan Pramanik was boarding the train at Mahalimurup station. While loading one of his bags into the train, the train started moving unexpectedly. In the ensuing chaos, he lost control and slipped, resulting in a fatal collision with the moving train.
After the incident, the Government Railway Police (GRP) took custody of Govardhan Pramanik’s body. Post-mortem procedures were conducted at Seraikela Sadar Hospital, following which the body was handed over to the family for the final rites.
This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the importance of caution and safety measures while boarding or alighting from moving trains.
