Tata Motor’s dogs shine at Bhubaneswar Show

Jamshedpur, Dec. 8: Tata Motors Kennel bagged first and second position in the class 6 obedience test at 59th and 60th �All Breeds Championship Dog Shows�  organised by Orissa Kennel Club at the Government Boys� High School Unit-6 football ground in Bhubaneswar on December 7 and 8.

 Four dogs of Tata Motors kennel participated in class 6 obedience test including Tuffy (Belgium shepherd) scored 300 out of 300 and bagged the first position. His handler is Shambu Kumar. Tipu (German shepherd) also scored 300 out 300 and was the runners-up. Sadashiv Sen is the handler. Toofan, another Belgium Shepherd scored 299 points out of 300. Handler Vinod Kumar was present. Tej (Belgium Shepherd) also managed 290 points out of 300. Handler is Balram Murmu.  Total 14 dogs participated in class 6 of Tata motors, Tata steel and others.

Around 300 dogs of 30 different breeds were part of the two-day show.

The event will saw participation of some of the best dogs and handlers from different parts of the country including Kolkata, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, Ooty, Bangalore, Lucknow, Jamshedpur, Raipur and Bhopal. The jury comprised of Harald Hohmann from Germany, Rita Khadike Skadina from Latvia, Eva L Borg from Sweden, Yashodara Hemchandra from Bengaluru and Rajendra M Salvi from Vadodara.
