Sundar Mahato, accused in Aman Singh Murder Case, sent to jail on five-day remand

Dhanbad: Sundar Mahato, a resident of Telo Chandrapura Bokaro accused of shooting gangster Aman Singh in Dhanbad jail, was sent to jail on Monday after the court granted remand for five days.

Saraidhela police station in-charge Vinay Kumar, the investigator for the case, filed an application in the court of Dhanbad Chief Judicial Magistrate Rajeev Kumar Tripathi. He stated that Sundar Mahato has been in jail since November 25, 2023, in Munidih police station case number 169/23, where he is named as the accused.

In the CCTV camera footage, Sundar Mahato is allegedly seen shooting Aman Singh, providing substantial evidence against him. Following Sundar Mahato’s judicial custody, investigator Vinay Kumar requested the court to grant a ten-day remand for questioning. The court approved a remand period of five days.
