Bokaro police on high alert after Gangster Aman Singh’s jail murder

Bokaro: Following the murder of gangster Aman Singh in Dhanbad jail, Bokaro police have heightened their state of alert. Special vigilance measures are in place since Sunday night. On SP Priyadarshi Alok’s directives, the Sergeant Major, SDPO, and Pindrajora police station in-charge met with soldiers responsible for Chas Jail security, issuing instructions for increased surveillance.

Police personnel are actively monitoring the surroundings of Chas Jail, while the jail administration is maintaining internal scrutiny. A strict vigil is being kept on prisoners, and attention is focused on numerous vacant houses in different Bokaro sectors. Police officers are instructed to closely monitor closed vacant houses, conduct thorough interrogations of suspects encountered during patrols, and increase patrolling movements.

City DSP Kuldeep Kumar will oversee the continuous review process. Inspector Amit Roshan Kullu, Inspector Sanjay Kumar, Inspector Anil Kachhap, Inspector Prabhakar Munda, Inspector Dullad Chaude, Inspector Ashish Khakha, Inspector Santosh Kumar Rana, and other station in-charges are tasked with enhancing patrolling activity.

Notably, Aman Singh resided in a vacant house in Sector 9, illustrating that vacant houses in Bokaro sectors have become safe zones for criminals. Aman Singh capitalized on this trend, bringing 12 shooters from Ayodhya to Sector 9 of Harla police station area in Bokaro to establish dominance. However, Dhanbad police, acting on intelligence information, arrested all 12 shooters in a midnight raid in May 2023, effectively halting Aman Singh’s criminal activities in Bokaro. The current focus of Bokaro Police remains on the closed houses, with officers implementing special vigilance measures in the district and conducting hourly reviews. City DSP and SDPOs are actively overseeing the situation.
