Stones pelted at Durg-Ara South Bihar Express near Manoharpur

Jamshedpur: The Durg-Ara South Bihar Express was once again targeted with stone pelting. The incident occurred after Rourkela when the train reached Manoharpur. Stones hit Coach B4 near berth 71, shattering a window, but no passengers were injured. The matter has been reported to the RPF, which has registered a case and begun an investigation. The train passed through Manoharpur, Goilkera, Sonua, Chakradharpur, Rajkharsawan and Sini before reaching Tatanagar, where officials conducted further checks and spoke with passengers. Stone-pelting incidents have been increasing, with seven trains attacked in just three months. Despite the growing concern, no concrete steps have been taken to curb the menace, which has been ongoing since 2024.
