Jamshedpur, Jan 23: Srinath University in Adityapur celebrated Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary. The anniversary programme was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of Srinath University, Dr Govind Mahto and the faculty at the University Auditorium. The Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose birth anniversary celebration was anchored by Purnendu Pushkar of the School of Education.
The multihued programme commenced with a dance performed by the University students. This was followed by a speech presented by Rakesh Pradhan from the University’s MBA department. In his speech, Pradhan traced the history of Netaji from his initial days to his revolutionary zeal that was reflected in his immortal slogan, “Give me blood and I will give you freedom.”
While interacting with the students, Dr Govind Mahato said, “By following Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s mission in life one learns about his dedication to earn freedom at any cost including his own life. His contribution indicates towards Netaji’s belief that one individual may die for an ideology but that ideology will reincarnate itself through thousands of new lives. The greatest crime is to compromise with injustice and wrong. Always remember the eternal law which says that you must give if you want to get. Freedom is not given, it is always taken perforce.” The concluding programme was the presentation of a tribal dance by the University students. The vote of thanks was offered by Ishita Roy of the Department of Education.
