Jamshedpur, August 16: The week long Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya commenced at Satyanarayan Marwari Temple in Bistupur on Tuesday, August 16. Narrator Himanshu Maharaj from Mathura, speaking from his seat on the Vyaspeeth, while initiating the seven day religious proceedings, explained that in Sanatan Dharma, apart from the four Vedas including Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda, Shrimad Bhagwat was the fifth Veda. The fifth Veda, Shrimad Bhagwat was composed on the Tapobhumi of Lord Vishnu. Maharaj Shyam Singh Chauhan (Priest Nij Mandir Sevak Parivar Khatu Shyam Ji) and Pankaj Pujari (Priest Nij Mandir Shri Salasar Dham) joined the Bhagwat Katha after taking blessings from Himanshu Maharaj.
The hosts on the first day on Tuesday included Santosh Sanghi, Subhash Moonka, Satyanaran Naredi, Suresh Sonthalia and Shyam Sunder Sonthalia along with Prasad hosts Basudev Modi and Basudev Nagelia.
A large number of devotees including Suresh Agiwal, Kamal Agiwal, Ashok Naredi, Kunjbihari Nagelia, Mahavir Nagelia, Hari Agiwal and Babulal Sonthalia were present.
