Jamshedpur: A sports event was organised at Gandhi Maidan in Mango by APJ Abdul Kalam High School and Hanfia School, with around 680 children from different schools in the area taking part.
In the 100-metre race for girls, Nilofar secured first place, followed by Sunaina in second position and Shafqat in third. In the boys’ 100-metre race, Mohammad Raza Ahmed emerged as the winner, while Sonu finished second and Rafi Ashraf came third.
Apart from running events, students also participated in sack race, skipping race, shot put, long jump, throw and pick the ball, and several other fun activities.
The winners were awarded prizes by social worker Dr Afroz Shakeel and educationist Mohammad Tahir Hussain. Rafat Ara, Mohammad Shahid and other guests were also present during the programme.
