Jamshedpur: Former Health Minister, Banna Gupta’s wife, Sudha Gupta, filed her nomination on Tuesday for the post of Mayor of Mango Municipal Corporation. Before leaving for the nomination process, she offered prayers at her residence and later visited the Rankini Temple in Kadma and the Bada Hanuman Temple in Mango, seeking blessings for the welfare and development of the people of Mango.

An emotional moment was witnessed at her residence when her husband and former Jharkhand government minister Banna Gupta personally opened the car door for her and saw her off. After filing her nomination, Sudha Gupta said that the election is not about a position but about working for the dreams and aspirations of every family in Mango. She added that the love and trust of the people are her biggest strength.

Leaders and representatives from different communities were present on the occasion, including Dr. Mohammad Zakaria from the Muslim community, Bhagwan Singh, president of Central Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee representing the Sikh community, Bipin Jha from the Brahmin community, Bhagwan Prasad and Leela Gupta from the Vaishya community, David Purti from the Christian community, and Rajesh Sharma from the Vishwakarma community.

The nomination was filed in a simple manner without any rallies or crowds. Sudha Gupta said that due to ongoing flyover construction work in Mango and narrow roads, she avoided a large gathering to prevent inconvenience to the public.
