South Eastern Railway: Arun Joshi appointed to Zonal Rail Users Advisory Committee

Ranchi, Feb 9:  Social worker Arun Joshi has been appointed as a member of the Zonal Rail Users Advisory Committee (ZRUCC) of South Eastern Railway (Kolkata) under the special quota of Railway Minister  Ashwini Vaishnaw. His tenure will be for two years.

On his nomination, Joshi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Verma, stating, “I will contribute fully towards the development of the railway sector, ensuring better facilities for passengers and infrastructure improvements.” He also pledged to take up issues related to new train operations, catering services and passenger amenities by presenting suggestions in zonal meetings.

Several dignitaries extended congratulations, including Rajya Sabha MP  Pradeep Verma, former MP Mahesh Poddar, Union Minister Hardeep Puri’s railway representative  Krishna Gautam, BJP leaders, Chamber of Commerce officials and various social and religious organizations. The South Eastern Railway region covers Ranchi, Kharagpur, Adra and Chakradharpur divisions and Joshi is expected to play a vital role in addressing regional railway concerns.
