Jamshedpur, July 4: The police have launched an investigation into the recent robberies at the house of ISWP DGM Mukesh Kumar Singh in Telco and at a liquor shop in Kadma. SSP Kishore Kaushal has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by the City SP to apprehend the criminals involved in both incidents. The team includes several police officers, including two DSPs.
According to police sources, significant information has been obtained regarding the robbery at Mukesh Kumar Singh’s house. Based on these leads, the police have taken two suspicious youths into custody for questioning, though no official details have been released yet. In the Kadma liquor shop case, police have acquired CCTV footage and other information that are aiding in their raids and investigations.
SSP Kaushal stated that different gangs were responsible for the two robberies. The gang involved in the liquor shop robbery specifically targeted liquor shops, as they had done in the past. In contrast, the criminals who robbed the DGM’s house focused solely on looting money and jewelry from one family. There was a two-and-a-half-hour gap between the two incidents.
The Telco police have learned that the criminals fled towards JEMCO in a car after robbing the DGM’s house. The police are reviewing CCTV footage from Nildih to JEMCO and have identified some personal CCTVs on that route, which they are trying to obtain for further investigation.
