MP Awadhesh Prasad assures accessibility at Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Mandir

New Delhi, July 4: A joint delegation from the Purvanchal Vichar Manch and the National Journalist Association met with Awadhesh Prasad, the newly elected Lok Sabha MP from Ayodhya, Faizabad. The Samajwadi Party MP was congratulated on his recent victory.

Dr. Rakesh Raman Jha, President of Purvanchal Vichar Manch, recounted a troubling experience during his April visit to Ayodhya. Security personnel at the entrance of Shri Ram Mandir denied entry to Dr. Jha’s personal wheelchair, insisting he use one provided by the temple management. Unable to comply, Dr. Jha had to leave without having darshan of Lord Shri Ram.

In response, MP Awadhesh Prasad requested a written account of the incident to be presented to the administration, assuring that measures would be taken to prevent such issues for disabled visitors in future. The delegation included Arun Sharma, Vijay Verma, Sajid Chaudhary, Vinay Tiwari, Amit Yadav, and Sunhari Lal Yadav.
