Seraikela, Nov. 19: Shooter Shankar Pradhan, who is an accused in Shrawan Mandal murder case, was arrested by the police on Thursday morning near Sini Railway Station under Seraikela police station.
Addressing a press conference at Sadar Police Station on Thursday today, West Singhbum SP Inderjeet Mahtha, said that a country-made pistol, three live cartridges and one mobile phone was recovered from the accused.
It may be noted that Shrawan Mandal was shot at Dumra Village under Kandar Police Station on November 8 injuring him fatally. He was rushed to Apollo Hospital, Kolkata, where he breathed his last on November 13.
An FIR was lodged with the Kandra police station in this connection and other accused Suku Hansda, Muchiram Mandal and Ratilal Mandal were arrested earlier. All these three accused have accepted their involvement in the crime and also named Krishna Baskey, Ram Hansda and Antesh Singh in the crime. They confessed that Shankar Pradhan was the mastermind behind the incident.
Pradhan was arrested on Thursday and he confessed his crime. He said he received Rs. 2 lakh to execute the crime. Pradhan also informed that Ratilal Mandal and Suku Hansda delivered him the money.
