Chaibasa, Nov. 19: The 115th annual convention of Sri Chaibasa Goushala was inaugurated by Dr. Michael Raj, superintendent of police, West Singhbhum on Thursday.
The Goushala festival will continue for two-days is considered to be the biggest and the oldest Goushala in Kolhan. The shelter has been provided to 500 cows that provide 518 liters of milk per day which is supplied to around 400 families.
Addressing the gathering, SP said, it gives us pleasure to hear that Sri Chaibasa Goushala Trust is protecting and taking care of so many cows. Nowadays people forget our ancestor culture of rearing cattle. He added that we must live in harmony with the animal and we must develop the culture otherwise our children could see these animals in Zoo only.
Mines owner and industrialist Nand Lal Rungta said, We must develop the facilitates and increase the number of cows whereas industrialist Banwarilal Newtia read out the annual report of the Sri Chaibasa Goushala.
Red Cross has also organised a medical camp on the occasion. A large number of people from various places of the district will crowd at Goushala Mela.
Yog Guru Ramdev donated a Ambulance to the Sri Chaibasa goushala which was also inaugurated by SP.
