Seraikela, May 29: A case of beating has come to light from Govindpur village under Seraikela police station.
In which 25-year-old Raja Barik attacked 56-year-old Josna Barik, a 56-year-old woman living in his neighbourhood, with an axe and seriously injured her.
After the incident, the relatives brought the injured woman to Sadar Hospital Seraikela from where the doctors after first aid referred her to MGM Hospital.
According to the information received about the incident, long ago there was a fight between the two families over some issue. Raja Barik was always angry about that quarrel. On Monday afternoon, seeing the neighbor’s woman sitting alone in the house, he went from behind and attacked her with an axe.
He hit the woman four to five times, due to which the woman suffered deep injuries on her head, shoulder and hand. Till the time of writing the news, no FIR has been lodged in Seraikela police station regarding the matter.
