Seraikela, July 11: The Superintendent of Police (SP) Anand Prakash held a meeting with the station in-charges and senior officers of the district on Tuesday to review the crime situation and take measures to prevent and control criminal incidents. The meeting was held in the office auditorium room.
The SP directed the police to increase night patrolling, speed up the investigation and execution of cases, and take strict action against the absconding accused. He also asked them to conduct raids to recover illegal liquor and curb drug abuse. He warned the station chiefs of facing action if they were found negligent in crime control.
He also reviewed the pending cases in various police stations, including those related to looting, murder and other crimes. He instructed the officers to complete the investigation work soon and submit the reports. He also listened to the problems of the police personnel and assured them of solving them.
He further asked the sub-divisional officers to make surprise inspections of police stations and outposts from time to time to ensure discipline. He also asked them to investigate the pending complaints within the time limit.
The SP said that special care should be taken to prevent road accidents and ensure safety of the people. He said that crime control in the district was his priority and he expected cooperation from all the police officers.
The meeting was attended by Seraikela SDPO Harvinder Singh, Chandil SDPO Sanjay Singh, Adityapur police station in-charge Rajan Kumar, Gamharia police station in-charge Sushma Kumari, Kandra police station in-charge Pascal Tappo, Seraikela police station in-charge Nitish Kumar, Rajnagar police station in-charge Chandan Kumar Yadav, Ichagarh police station in-charge Gaurav Kumar Mishra, Chandil police station in-charge Ajit Kumar, and other in-charges and inspectors of the district.
