Seraikela, May 25: In a remarkable display of talent and skill, the Seraikela-Kharsawan Da Dojo Karate team excelled at the Inter-District Karate Championship, clinching two silver medals along with a prestigious gold medal. The three-day championship took place at Nazarat English Medium School on Tara Road in Khunti district, Jharkhand.
Tejas Kumar, a promising karateka representing Seraikela-Kharsawan, emerged victorious by securing a gold medal in the Kata category and a silver medal in Kumite. His exceptional performance demonstrated his dedication and mastery of the art form. Another talented member of the association, Chirag Mohapatra, showcased his skills and earned a well-deserved silver medal in the Kumite discipline. Mayank Pani, another karateka from the team, also showcased commendable talent during the championship.
Sensei Kamal Kumar Thapa, the chief coach of the association, and Sampai Jagannath Karjee served as judges during the championship, ensuring fair and impartial assessments of the participants’ performances. The Association extended warm congratulations to the karatekas for their outstanding achievements in the championship. They praised their hard work, perseverance, and dedication towards the sport and wished them continued success for a bright future.
