Seraikela, Jan 17: District Civil Surgeon Dr Vijay Kumar has been monitoring the status of health services being provided at the Sadar Hospital and Community Health Centres with the Para Medical workers striking work in demand for regularization of their jobs. The review was intended to ensure that medical services were not affected due to the strike. Adequate numbers of Community Health Officers (CHOs) and regular ANMs have been deputed in all Community Health Centers including Sadar Hospital of the district for uninterrupted and streamlined medical services to patients. Civil Surgeon (CS) Dr Vijay Kumar inspected the Sadar Hospital thrice on Tuesday and inquired about the medical services being provided. The CS visited the different Wards during his inspection and interacted with the patients to acquaint himself with the medical services being provided to them. Dr Vijay Kumar informed that additional health workers had been deputed to all Community Health Centers to contend with the strike call by NRHM workers. The CS stated that Community Health Officer and 12 regular nurses had been deputed at Sadar Hospital to ensure uninterrupted health services to patients even through the strike period.
