Jamshedpur, July 7: The Mango unit of Sikh Youth Association will organize a seminar dedicated to martyr Banda Singh Bahadur at Mango Gurudwara on Sunday, July 9.
The members of the youth association held a review meeting on Friday, July 7 to check out details of preparations for the seminar. After the meeting, Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri, the General Secretary of the youth association, and Jagdeep Singh Goldy, the President, informed that on Sunday, July 9, the life story and martyrdom of the great Sikh warrior Baba Banda Singh Bahadur will be discussed and commemorated at the Mango Gurudwara Singh Sabha.
The seminar will also inform children on other historical events in Sikhism. Sukhwant Singh Sukhu mentioned that during the recent Khalsa Fateh March, some question-answer sheets were distributed among the congregation, and the winners will also be awarded at the seminar. Renowned preachers of Sikhism in Jamshedpur, including Gyani Gurpratap Singh, Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri, Bibi Manpreet Kaur, Jagseer Singh, Jaswant Singh Jassu, and Sukhwant Singh Sukhu, along with others, will grace the seminar and enlighten the congregation about the martyrs of Sikh history. Religious plays will also be presented during the seminar. The members appealed to the entire Sikh community of Jamshedpur to participate in the seminar with their children so that the kids become aware and informed about the history of Sikhs.
