Jamshedpur, Dec. 8: The second Palash Mart in East Singhbhum district was inaugurated today by BDO Praveen Kumar and Circle Officer Amit Srivastava at Jamshedpur Sadar Block Complex. Earlier the first Palash Mart of the district was opened in the Samaharnal campus, which is being successfully operated.
DPM JSLPS informed that continuous efforts are being made to promote entrepreneurship of women entrepreneurs in the state through Palash brand. At the same time, Palash Marts are being opened across the state for the sale of goods produced by women at the local level, so that the products of rural women get recognition in the market and their livelihood gets boosted.
The initiative by Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society is aimed to provide the women of the village self-reliant by providing self-employment opportunities. The residents of the district will be able to purchase dozens of products including spices, pulses, oil, incense sticks, soap, food items manufactured by the sisters of Sakhi Mandal from this Palash Mart.
Along with this, by downloading Palash app from Google Play Store sitting at home, you will be able to get online information about the available materials. At present, the facility of online shopping has not been started from Palash App in the district, although some Palash brand items can be purchased from Amazon App.
