Jamshedpur, June 21: SDSM School for Excellence celebrated International Yoga Day on Sunday, June 21 where 200 students participated and performed various types of Asans including Suryanamaskar, Ardhachandra Asana, Veerbhadra Asana, Tara Aasana, Vrikcha Asana.
Pranayam and meditation were also included. By doing these Yogas and Asana the students not only learned the goal and the requirements of Yoga but also learned how to keep their mind still, quiet and free from all distraction.
They also learned about the eight fold path of Yogas which enables ones to cultivate the good qualities and overcome the hurdles coming in their life.
Students also learned to acquire mental peace concentration and serenity through meditation.
This was organized under the supervision the Principal Mrs. Shyamali Virdi who encouraged and motivated the students to include Yoga in daily life as it helps to detach us from all worldly attachment and helps us to lead a simple healthy life.
