SDO raids sand traders’ establishments, locates illegal storages in Chakradharpur

Chakradharpur, June 7: Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Lalan Kumar raided the establishments of sand traders in Chakradharpur. He raided many locations. The raids were the outcome of information and complaints of illegal sand storage in Chakradharpur. During the surprise checking of alleged illegal storage of sand, many establishments of sand traders were raided. The SDO checked the records and other relevant papers The SDO’s raids checked on sand stock and documents of transactions in establishments of Bancho Pradhan of Hathiya, Shalini Transport of Tokalo Road, Santosh Burman, Dinanath Pradhan and Rahul Raj at Bharat Bhawan Chowk.

SDO Lalan Kumar said that out of the establishments and sand stock piles inspected, apart from Shalini Transport, none of the others could provide any documents of transactions and neither of their sand stock piles. The raid findings were provided to the District Mining Officer and instructions given to carry out necessary investigation and action. The raid conducted by SDO Lalan Kumar has sent shivers down the spines of sand traders of Chakradharpur.
