Jamshedpur: In a bid to ensure transparency and prevent malpractices during the ongoing annual secondary and intermediate examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), the district administration has intensified monitoring at examination centres. In line with this, SDO of Dhalbhum, Shatabdi Majumdar, conducted a surprise inspection at the Cooperative College examination centre.
During the inspection, Majumdar closely examined the arrangements at the centre, paying special attention to the basic facilities provided for the students and the effectiveness of CCTV surveillance. She emphasized the importance of maintaining strict vigilance and urged officials to ensure that the examinations are conducted in a peaceful and transparent manner. Addressing the examination staff, she reiterated the need to strictly adhere to the rules issued by the Jharkhand Academic Council to uphold the integrity of the examination process.
Majumdar provided clear guidelines to the centre superintendents, invigilators, and other personnel involved in the examination process. She instructed them to maintain high standards of discipline and to be vigilant against any attempt at cheating or malpractice. She emphasized that no candidate would be allowed to carry mobile phones, smartwatches, headphones, or any other prohibited electronic devices into the examination hall.
To further strengthen security measures, the SDO directed teachers to conduct thorough checks of all students before they enter the examination rooms for both the first and second shifts. This step aims to eliminate any possibility of unfair means, ensuring a fair examination environment for all candidates.
Speaking on the occasion, Majumdar stated, “The district administration is fully committed to conducting the annual JAC examinations in a peaceful and malpractice-free manner. Surprise inspections will continue throughout the examination period to ensure strict compliance with the rules and to prevent any unfair practices.”
The proactive approach by the district administration and the vigilant monitoring by the SDO have been welcomed by parents and educators alike. They expressed confidence that these measures would contribute to maintaining the sanctity and credibility of the examination process.
Meanwhile, officials from the district education department have been instructed to cooperate fully with the inspection teams and ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place. The administration has also urged students to focus on their studies and prepare for the exams with honesty and dedication.
