School coaching operator nabbed in Jharkhand class 10 paper leak case

Ranchi, February 21: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has become strict in the case of leaking of 10th board Hindi and Science papers in Jharkhand, while the police has also taken action.

School-coaching operator Prashant Kumar Sao, resident of Markacho in Koderma district, has been arrested.

It is alleged that he is the son of local BJP leader Prakash Saha. Apart from this, two students have also been detained.

Information about paper leak has also come to light in Giridih, Garhwa and East Singhbhum districts. Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police are also investigating the matter in these three districts. Many people have been questioned in Garhwa. Jharkhand Academic Council has sought investigation report from the Deputy Commissioners of all these districts by Friday.

It is being told that the accused Prashant runs a private school and coaching center in Jamu of Markacho block. He is being questioned. Prashant has told the police that a student named Prince Rana, a resident of Markacho, gave him the question paper. Prince is deaf and dumb, who was going to appear in the examination this time. Prince has gone to Bangalore for treatment with his father Indradev Vishwakarma and mother Aarti Devi.

It is alleged that he could not appear in the exam because he missed the train coming back from Bangalore. When the police raided Prince’s house, his grandmother and younger brother Gautam were found there. The question paper was sold in a WhatsApp group for just Rs 350. Prince is the admin of this group.

After joining the group, Rs 350 was demanded through QR code in exchange for providing the question paper. A password was created to unlock the PDF of the question paper. Those who paid the money were provided the password. When the science paper was distributed in the first session on Thursday at 9.45 am, it was exactly like the already viral question paper. After this, the examination of both Hindi and Science subjects has been canceled.
