Raghubar Das suggest Jharkhand CM for improving traffic bottlenecks in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, February 21: Former chief minister Raghubar Das gave suggestions to chief minister Hemant Soren to make traffic smooth in Jamshedpur.

In a letter to Hemant Soren, Raghubar Das has informed that due to economic activities, operation of heavy vehicles etc. and other business activities, the general public of the city is facing jams and traffic inconveniences.

It also informs that lives and property are being lost due to increasing road accidents every day, which is a matter of great concern.

 

“In order to reduce the traffic pressure in Jamshedpur city and provide relief to the public, the following infrastructure development schemes were approved by the government earlier. Unfortunately, the situation has become more serious due to the pending of these schemes,” the letter states.

The letter draws attention to the pending schemes like construction of Govindpur overhead road and bypass in Jamshedpur, the tender for this project was executed at a cost of Rs 138.74 crore, but the construction work is pending. Construction of bridge and path connecting NH-33 from Litti Chowk to Swarnarekha River. The foundation stone of this scheme was also laid, but further action is pending.

“In public interest, there is a need to get the construction of path and bridge from Tata Motors to Litti Chowk via Theme Park till NH-33 done soon. Construction of new inter-state bus terminal on NH-33 in Mango. The plan for construction of new inter-state bus terminal on NH-33 was approved for shifting the bus stand located near Mango bridge. Under this scheme, only the boundary wall has been constructed, the remaining work is still pending, it is necessary to complete it soon,” the letter states.

“If the implementation of the above projects is completed on time, the people of Jamshedpur will get great relief and the traffic system will improve a lot. This will not only speed up the industrial development of the state, but will also ensure the safety and convenience of the citizens,” Das writes in the letter.
