Jamshedpur, June 11: Responding to public complaints, Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy conducted an inspection of several ongoing and completed infrastructure projects in the Sonari area on Thursday. During his visit, he reviewed a road constructed by the Urban Development Department in Kumharpara and found several deficiencies in the work.
Expressing concern over the quality of construction, Roy directed the concerned department to immediately rectify the defects and ensure that the road met the required standards.
He also inspected a road currently being constructed in Old Sonari using MLA development funds after receiving complaints from local residents. Later, he visited a site opposite Adarsh Nagar Phase-IV, where the Urban Development Department had excavated a trench for drain construction but had left the project incomplete.
Roy expressed displeasure over the delay and instructed officials to resume the stalled work without further time lag. He also directed the authorities to correct any faulty construction and ensure timely completion of development projects.
The MLA stated that he would continue to conduct field inspections based on information and complaints received from the public and would closely monitor development works to ensure accountability and quality.
