Ranchi : SAIL Safety Organization in association with Traffic Police, Ranchi is organizing its 26th Road Safety Week. The safety campaign was inaugurated on January 11 and to continue till January 17.
In this connection a campaign vehicle with vital information on road safety was flagged-off on January 15 from SAIL, RDCIS building by MR Panda, ED (HRD), MTI in presence of BB Mishra, ED (SSO), Neeraj Mathur, ED (CET) and Senior officers of SAIL units at Ranchi.
Anup Birthare, SP (City), Pramod Ranjan, Officer In-charge, Traffic Police Ranchi joined the campaign at Birsa Chowk. Birthare, BB Mishra along with their teams distributed informative pamphlets to road users and counseled the violators.
They complimented SAIL Safety Organization for taking the initiative on spreading awareness on Road Safety among masses. Educative Info-cards and pamphlets were distributed by SSO collectively to road users at various important places like Birsa Chowk, Hinoo, Harmu, Argora, Ratu Road etc.
while violators of traffic norms were counseled.
At Delhi Public School, a special awareness session was also organized wherein students were sensitized on importance of Road Safety during a mass interactive awareness session. BB Mishra, Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, DPS and others highlighted various aspects of Road Safety. Tips on Road Safety were given to the students and some students gave valuable suggestions and innovative ideas for improving safety on the roads.
During the week, educative DVDs and awareness material on Road Safety were distributed to 20 different schools of Ranchi by SAIL Safety Organization for spreading awareness among students. The campaign will continue in other places like Rajendra Chowk, Sujata Chowk, Albert Ekka Chowk and HEC area.
Similar campaigns on Road Safety are being organized at various SAIL plants & units also at their respective places.
