Jamshedpur, May 2: Sacred Heart Convent School celebrated International Labour Day on May 1. Students and staff took part in a special morning assembly. The Didi’s and Bhaiya’s were felicitated with flowers and a ‘Thank You’ card made by students. This was followed by a short programme comprising  song, dance and speech.

Teacher Devina  in a wonderful piece of takeaway message quoted few lines from the poem “Agneepath”.

She said we all will always be indebted to all our workers who toil day in and day out to keep us happy.

Principal Sister Rashmita said we all must learn to respect and appreciate the hard work and dedication of the working class. All the workers were given gift by Sisters as a token of gratitude.

The programme was designed to forge a better understanding of the labour community among students who must learn to respect and appreciate their efforts.

Students were enlightened about the contribution of labourers to our society and how they are the key components of the growing economy.  Labour Day is observed annually to commemorate the struggles and sacrifices of the workers’.
