RVS College hosts five-day IoT Workshop

Jamshedpur, Dec 2: A five-day inter-college workshop on “IoT-based Design Thinking, Critical Thinking, and Innovation Design” commenced today at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur.

The event’s inaugural session featured Prof. (Dr.) D.K. Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Jharkhand University of Technology, Ranchi, as the chief guest, who joined virtually. Highlighting the transformative role of IoT, he remarked, “IoT offers a platform that enhances thinking, creativity, and innovation, providing a fresh perspective on understanding modern challenges.”

The program began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony led by Shatrughan Singh, Treasurer of RVS Educational Trust, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, and Training and Placement Head Dr. Vikram Sharma.

Dr. Sushant Mohanty, Head of the ECE Department and workshop coordinator, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the workshop’s relevance. Principal Prof. Tiwari elaborated on the concepts of design and critical thinking, stating, “Innovation through IoT is essential for the evolving needs of smart technology in daily life.”

Shatrughan Singh noted, “Such initiatives are a regular feature at RVS College, and this workshop will provide a fresh direction for fostering innovative thinking.”

The event was attended by key faculty members, including Prof. Krishna Murari, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Sanatan Prasad, and Prof. Y.P. Rao.
