RVS Academy Jamshedpur receives British Council’s recognition of International Dimension in Schools Award

Jamshedpur: RVS Academy has been honoured with the Recognition of International Dimension in Schools (RIDS) Award for 2025-2027 by the British Council. The award recognizes the school’s efforts in promoting global awareness, cultural exchange and international collaboration.

The honour was presented by Duncan Wilson, Managing Director of the British Council and was received by RVS Academy’s Chairman Binda Singh and Principal Veesha Mohindra in New Delhi. This achievement highlights how students are gaining opportunities to learn and understand at an international level.

Under the RIDS program, RVS Academy has collaborated with several international schools on important topics including climate change and its impact on the environment, the significance and diversity of various festivals, children’s and data protection from a global perspective, COVID-19’s impact on education, Jharkhand’s products and their contribution to the global economy and the impact of rivers on local and international economies.

Schools from Nepal, Netherlands, Bangladesh, Ghana, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom participated in these projects. These activities provided students with opportunities to learn new things, exchange ideas and understand major global issues.

Celebrating this achievement, Chairman Binda Singh congratulated the RIDS Coordinators Usha Tiwari, Manmeet Kaur, Shib Narayan Kar, team leaders, students and parents.

“We want our students not to be limited to books, but to connect with the entire world and become global citizens. This award recognizes our efforts in this direction,” said Singh.

Principal Veesha Mohindra added, “This honour is a matter of pride for our school. Our students are learning at an international level and we will continue such collaborations in the future.”
