Wife of deceased Jamshedpur journalist gets permanent job on Press Club’s proposal

Jamshedpur: The Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan, Ravishankar Shukla, has provided a permanent job to Mohini Singh, wife of deceased journalist Sudesh Kumar, who was a member of The Press Club of Seraikela-Kharsawan. This was done following a proposal from the Press Club.

On Thursday, in a ceremony held at the District Collectorate auditorium, Deputy Commissioner Ravishankar Shukla handed over the appointment letter for the permanent job to the deceased journalist’s wife in the presence of Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat and Press Club officials.

During the event, DC Ravishankar Shukla became emotional and praised the efforts of the Press Club. He said, “This work should have been done much earlier; we regret this delay.” He reiterated that the district administration would continue to stand with journalists and their families in times of joy and sorrow in the future.

On this occasion, the President of the Club, Manmohan Singh Rajput, said that the district administration had accepted the Club’s proposal with humanitarian sensitivity and arranged permanent employment for the family of the deceased journalist, for which the head of the administration, Deputy Commissioner Ravishankar Shukla, deserves congratulations. He appealed to fellow journalists in the district to stay united and organized, as only then would the Club continue to work for the interests of journalists and their families. The Club’s President, Manmohan Singh Rajput, also demanded that the Jharkhand government take concrete steps in the interest of the state’s journalists.
