Rotary West and East’s blood donation drive collects 43 units

Jamshedpur, July 1:  Rotary Club of Jamshedpur East and Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West jointly organised blood donation camp at Blood Bank in MGM Hospital as part of the National Doctor’s Day celebration on Friday, July 1.  

Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr KN Singh, Principal MGM College and Guest of Honour was Dr Arun Kumar, Superintendent, MGM College and Hospital.

Guests appreciating the initiative of Rotary Club for organising blood donation camp, said MGM is the biggest government hospital in entire Kolhan and mostly poorest of poor come here for treatment.

He urged Rotarians to look into possibilities of more such camps so that blood never dries up at MGM Hospital.

Rotarian O P Chopda, President RCJE, assured the Principal that they will continue to organise such camps in future also.

43 units of blood were collected in today’s camp.  Rotarians, Rotarylets, large no of young Medical Students from MGM College, and Rotractors also donated blood.

Rotarian Alokanand Bakshi, Vina Mitra, Secretary RCJE, Gurpreet Bhatia, Secretary, RCJW and large no of Rotarians and Rotary Spouses were present.
