Jamshedpur, July 1: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) on the occasion of National Doctor’s Day invited Dr. N. R. Singh (General Physician) and Dr. Kiran Singh (Gynaecologist) to give a talk on health care to the students of the school.
Dr. N.R.Singh spoke about various health issues, healthy diet, common diseases like diabetes and hypertension and their prevention.
Dr. Kiran Singh addressed the girls and discussed about hygiene, menstrual problems and other related gynaecological issues.
Chandrakant Zatakia, an esteemed member of the School Management Committee felicitated the doctors.
On 2nd July, the school will be organising a workshop by Dr. Liu (Dental Surgeon) and a dental camp for teachers and sub staff. Dr. Liu and his team (Dr. Nehal Amin, Dr. Aaron Chen, Dr. Jaydeep Ghosh, Dr. Poulomi Dey, Dr. Ruben Liu and Dr. Asha Khatoon) will be felicitated by Tandrima Banerjee and Avijeet Mukherjee, the acting Vice Principals of the School.
It is worth mentioning that Doctors Day is celebrated across the world on the 1st of July. In India, the incredible life led by Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy (legendary Physician and second Chief Minister of West Bengal), inspired the Indian Medical Association to dedicate July 1, to his achievements and spirit. He was also instrumental in establishing several hospitals in Kolkata.
The theme for National Doctor’s Day 2022 is “Family Doctors on the Frontline” with the aim to raise awareness about the importance, responsibilities and role of doctors to promote the medical profession, to inspire others to respect and acknowledge the efforts of doctors and health care workers.
