Jamshedpur, August 10: Members of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City on Friday visited ‘Ashirwad’ Old age home in Baradwari on the occasion of senior citizen day to spread happiness.
Members of the club spent quality time with the inmates of the retirement home run by Brahma Kumaris, played several games with the elderly and gossiped with them. The Club members also distributed snacks among the inmates.
A member of the club said that social organisations should join such activities. There are several touching stories and lessons to be heard and learnt.
She further said that senior citizens at the old age home need emotional fulfillment which can only happen when people interact with them.
The elderly got emotional seeing the way they were being treated by the ladies and urged them to visit the home frequently.
