

Jamshedpur, Sept. 16: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West honoured government school teachers with Nation Builder Award.
During a programme held at United Club on Saturday, Club President Shweta Chand handed over the awards to 15 teachers for their exemplary work in the field of education.
The program began with Shweta Chand welcoming everyone. CLCC Rakesh Chand of the club conducted the ceremony.
Addressing the teachers Rakesh Chand said, “The teachers who have been awarded today have been selected by their students only”. He also gave information about Rotary India Literacy Mission, under which this award was given.
He congratulated all the teachers and said that in the true sense only teachers build the country. All award-winning teachers are expected to be a source of inspiration for all other teachers in their school. The teachers were honored with a Nation Builder Award certificate and a token gift.
Later in the event, Club President Shweta Chand also honored around 20 Rotarians and rotary spouses of the club who are teachers. On the occasion Dr Joohi shared her experience in teaching different generation of kids. Sudha Goel recited a lovely poem on Teachers Day. Several members of the club were present on the occasion.
