
Jamshedpur, Sept. 19: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West with the support of Sreeleathers inaugurated second sanitary napkin vending machine at Government aided, Madrasi Sammelani Middle School in Bistupur on Wednesday.
The vending machine has been installed in the staff room of the school building. Additional District Secretary Alakananda Bakshi inaugurated the sanitary napkin vending machine at the school in Bistupur and said this would help girls and teachers in maintaining their health and hygiene. She educated young girls about the literal meaning of pollination, menstrual related myths and menstrual hygiene.
President of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West Shweta Chand while addressing the students and teachers of the school said, “The vending machine would dispense sanitary napkin by inserting a coin of Rs 5. This will provide comfort to the girl students and promote hygienic practices.”
Vote of thanks was extended by Club Secretary Nibha Mishra. She insisted on the well-being of the girl students and instructed them to have their breakfast regularly before coming to school.
Club members Nibha, Anupama, Shraddha and Alpana were also present on the occasion.
