Review meeting to ensure smooth law and order during Durga Puja in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: A review meeting was held via video conferencing under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi to finalize preparations for maintaining law and order and traffic management during the upcoming Durga Puja.

Addressing the officials, the Deputy Commissioner directed that all deputed magistrates remain present at their designated posts to directly monitor law and order. Static magistrates will continuously review the ground situation, while senior officers will stay mobile to ensure quick intervention in case of any incident. He emphasized that in the event of prolonged traffic jams or unexpected disturbances, magistrates must immediately inform senior officers for timely action. The District Control Room will verify the presence of magistrates, police officers, and security personnel at their respective assignments.

Special instructions were issued to the Sub-Divisional Officers of Dhalbhum and Ghatshila to maintain constant communication with Puja Committees and ensure proper coordination. The Deputy Commissioner laid special focus on crowd control, traffic diversions, barricading, parking facilities, ambulance arrangements, and the deployment of additional forces at sensitive locations. He also stressed the importance of strict enforcement of traffic rules to avoid congestion during the festivities.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Officers of both sub-divisions, Sub-Collector Nazarat, Deputy Municipal Commissioner of JNAC, DTO, LRD, all BDOs and COs, Special Officers of Municipal Bodies, Assistant Municipal Commissioners, along with representatives from Tata Steel and Jusco.

With these detailed directions, the district administration has drawn up a comprehensive plan to ensure that Durga Puja celebrations in Jamshedpur take place in a peaceful and organized manner.
