Jamshedpur, July 30: Reepa Dutta took over as the President of Lions Club of Jamshedpur Steel City during the installation ceremony held at a city hotel on Monday.
New team of office bearers were installed by the installation officer Rajnish Kumar. Induction Officer, second vice district governor Rajesh Gupta ‘ Pawan ‘ inducted four new members namely Jharna Sarkar, Anisha Sinha. Pushpa Singh and Sarita Rungta. Chief Guest of the programme district governor Madhav Lakhotia addressed and felicitated the new team.
Vandana Mishra was honoured with ‘Lion of the Year’ award by the club president Reepa Dutta for the support and volunteerism done all the year.
She also honoured eight other Lion members of the club for their volunteerism and various community services. They included Sunita Singh, Veena Chaudhary, Pranati Das, Sarita Roy, Indu Gandhi, Jyoti Singh, Seema Sahay and Meena Bhagat.
Past District Governors Sudipto Mukherjee, Nalini Mukherjee, Kanchan Singh, Region Chairperson Vivek Choudhary, Zone Chairperson I S Rao and Vandana Mishra.
President, Secretary of the different clubs of Jamshedpur and the members of Lions club of Jamshedpur Steel City were present during the programme.
The new team includes secretary Meena Bhagat, treasurer Sarita Roy, PRO Narendra Saggu, Club Service Vandana Mishra, LCIF Coordinator Veena Chaudhary, Sight First Sunita Singh, Membership Pranati Das, Lions Quest Jyoti Sharma along with directors Monica Sharma, Manjit Sarkar, Jyoti Singh and Anita Dubey.
